Dr. Ayla Selamoglu
Cambridge VenturED - Founding Director
Dr. Ayla co-founded the Cambridge University Venture Capital and Private Equity society in 2016 where she served as President and Chair, and subsequently founded Cambridge VenturED. She completed a PhD in Psychiatry from the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine, and undertook several courses at the Cambridge Judge Business School. Dr. Ayla has a thorough understanding of the unmet clinical and scientific needs with over a decade of experience in healthcare. She also has experience working with several life science based venture capital firms.

Chris Coleridge is Senior Faculty in Management Practice at Cambridge Judge Business School where his teaching and research focus is on entrepreneurship and strategy. He is also Founder and CEO of Carbon13, the Venture Builder for the Climate Emergency.
Stone Estate Swiss
Thuqan AlHindawi is a skilled investor with broad experience across Europe and the Middle East. His experience has mainly focused on value-add and opportunistic real estate investments across a variety of markets and real estate asset classes. Thuqan works as an Associate at Stone Estate; a real estate investor that specialises in distressed assets, special situations, and transactions with major financial restructuring components. Currently, and in addition to his job in London, Thuqan is a researcher at the Cambridge Real Estate Machine Learning Lab, and a Finance/Economics Supervisor at Cambridge. Thuqan finished his MPhil and BA from Cambridge University, where he graduated with First-Class Honours. His interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and applying new tech in the areas of finance and real estate.
Zachary Freud is an Investment Professional at EMK Capital, a pan-European mid-market private equity firm that facilitates transformational growth for investee companies. He invests across a range of sectors and geographies, being a Director and Observer across a number of companies. Prior to EMK, Zachary worked at J.P. Morgan in their Investment Banking Division advising on a range of M&A, debt and equity transactions across Europe. Zachary graduated with a first class degree in Land Economy from Cambridge, being awarded 1912 Senior Scholar, Fitzwilliam College and Jeffery Switzer Prizes.
Dr. Marc Felske
Marc leads the UK team for REMUS, a US-based early-stage venture fund focusing on vertical software and DeepTech startups. In the UK, REMUS invests in pre-Seed to Series A rounds in technology-driven startups. REMUS is a hands-on partner for founders helping with hiring, sales, strategy, and US expansion. Since 2016 REMUS has backed spin-outs from the Cambridge University ecosystem.
Marc received his PhD in Engineering from Cambridge and has published his work on data-driven investing in VC. His focus is on workflow automation, Industry 4.0, and human-machine interactions in computer vision and natural language processing.
Zero Carbon Capital
Pippa is the co-founder of Zero Carbon Capital, home of an EIS fund investing in early-stage companies on a mission to fix climate change. ZCC supports deep science, hard-tech solutions that have the potential to make half gigaton-level reductions of CO2e at scale; and vision-aligned, ambitious teams to go with them.
Pippa started angel investing in decarbonisation technologies in California five years ago, where she was an active member of the impact investing ecosystem. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles in general management, business analysis, and consumer-facing interactive user experience research and design. She holds a Masters degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Junhao Zhang
Cambridge Newton Capital
Dr. Junhao Zhang is the Chief Investment Officer of Cambridge Newton Capital, and the Vice President of Cambridge University Algorithmic Trading Society. Previously, he was the Vice President of ULSee an AI Startup with a valuation of more than $500 million in 2017 invested by Softbank, SIG China, etc. He has also worked as a VLSI Design Engineer in Arm, finished the 11nm, 14nm, 16nm, 22nm, etc memory design projects. He is an active reviewer of Electron Device Letters, Transactions on Electron Devices, Journal of Display Technology, etc. He did his Ph.D. in Cambridge University as a Sun Hung Kai Foundation Cambridge Scholar, honourable CSC Cambridge International Scholar, and honourable Cambridge Overseas Trust Scholar, on the EU FP7 ORAMA project with an overall budget over 13 million.
Chris is a partner and head of the emerging companies team at Taylor Vinters. He has over a decade of experience advising early-stage and fast-growth businesses, particularly in the technology sector. He practises both as a corporate lawyer and commercial intellectual property specialist, and splits his time between offices in the golden triangle of UK innovation; Cambridge (where he lives), London and Oxford. Taylor Vinters’ market-leading technology practice advises on over 150 fundraising transactions every year acting for both growth companies and angel, venture capital and corporate investors.
Golden Triangle Partners
Toby spent 18 years at Deutsche Bank working on public take-overs, fund raising, IPOs and advising UK listed companies. He moved to China International Capital Corporation, where he headed investment banking for Europe in M&A’s. He originated and executed cross border transactions in China (buy/sell side) but also advised large European multinational corporations. After six years in China, Toby left to found Golden Triangle Partners, to capitalise on his experience of advising companies and to utilise his Chinese network in Cambridge and London. He has experience advising technology companies on both M&A and IPOs.
Cambridge Blockchain Society
Taran serves as the President of the Cambridge Blockchain Society. He is a crypto native and advises in all things blockchain. He consults and mentors on many crypto and blockchain based projects including in DeFi, NFT’s, building web3.0 infrastructure, GameFi, metaverse, DEX’s, tokenomics, and DAO’s. He is reading Physics at the University of Cambridge.
